Ravin est toujours à la recherche de nouvelles mélodies, de nouveaux rythmes empreints de vibrations colorées. Il s’efforce de découvrir sans cesse de nouveaux talents qu’il partage à travers la série des compilations Buddha-Bar et ses sets au Buddha-Bar Paris et autour du monde.

Il transporte son auditeur le temps d’un voyage vers des sommets musicaux et déniche les sons menant vers des chemins et expériences intérieurs.

Ravin a grandi à L’Ile Maurice et a été élevé selon les principes traditionnels Hindou. Adolescent, il s’envole pour la France, et focalise son attention sur ses passions de toujours : la musique, le mixage, la production créant ainsi sa propre empreinte musicale. Ravin s’est rapidement construit une réputation de DJ au sein des nuits parisiennes et a joué dans les repères de stars de la capitale tels que le Rex ou les Bains Douches. En 1997, il mixe ses premiers sets pour le Buddha-Bar Paris et apporte une touche singulière à la signature musicale unique du concept Buddha-Bar. Elargissant constamment ses horizons, il infuse plusieurs compilations de son style fusion, dont les légendaires séries de compilations Buddha-Bar et Siddharta, produites par George V Records.

Born in the Indian Ocean on the island of Mauritius, Ravin was brought up by a traditional Hindu family. He moved to France as a teenager where he developed his childhood passion: music. He began working in a music shop in Paris, which cultivated his interest in dance music and club culture. This explains his musical style mixed the eastern airs of his youth with the electronic sounds of his new home in Paris.

At the end of the 80s, Ravin become resident DJ at the Rex, Boy and Bains Douches immersed himself in the exciting high tech wave that would engulf the world.

The opening of the Buddha Bar, Paris in 1997 marked a turning point in Ravin’s musical direction. The magical atmosphere of this temple-like place harmonised perfectly with Ravin’s personality and artistic taste. More than decade, while Ravin still remains resident DJ at the Buddha Bar Paris, his growing international reputation has taken him to far off places where he regularly appears in some of the world’s most cutting edge clubs, also playing at Jean Paul Gauthier s Fashion Show, private parties for Sting or for the most exclusive brands as Bvlgari, Armani, and many more.

While developing a dj career, Ravin is increasingly interested in the art of remixing and producing, and he’s now solicited as one of the music world’s greatest talents. Ravin has produced many well-known compilation series: Buddha Bar, Siddharta, Fashion TV Club Session, Clubbing with DJ Ravin, also his latest significant and remarkable selection “Best of Ravin”. He gained a double gold disc as author of Buddha Bar III, VI, VII, IX and the following year released Amnesty International with Frank Nigel to commemorate its 40th anniversary.
For Ravin, life is music.
